Preparing Young Minds for Financial Independence

Founded in 2019, brilliant-circuit emerged from a simple observation: too many capable young adults enter the world without understanding the basics of managing money.

Our Beginning

The seed was planted during a conversation between two educators who noticed their university students struggling with basic financial decisions. Despite years of academic achievement, these bright young people couldn't budget for rent, didn't understand how credit cards worked, and had never opened a savings account.

That conversation became a question: what if we could reach children earlier, before they develop poor habits or face real financial consequences?

Within eighteen months, brilliant-circuit opened its doors in central London with a pilot programme of just twelve students. Today, we've worked with over 2,400 young people across Greater London.

What Drives Us

We believe financial literacy is as fundamental as reading and writing. Every child deserves to understand how money works—not as an abstract concept, but as a practical skill they'll use every day of their adult lives.

Our mission extends beyond teaching individual students. We're working to shift the cultural conversation around money in Britain, making financial discussions normal rather than taboo, starting with the youngest generation.

Our Teaching Principles

Experience Over Theory

Students don't read about budgeting—they do it. Every concept is practised through simulations, games, and real-world applications.

Age-Appropriate Complexity

A seven-year-old learns differently than a seventeen-year-old. Our curriculum meets students exactly where they are developmentally.

Emotional Intelligence

Money isn't just numbers. We address the feelings, fears, and psychological patterns that shape financial behaviour.

Family Integration

What happens at home matters. We provide tools and frameworks for families to continue financial conversations together.

Our Educators

Every instructor brings both financial expertise and teaching credentials. They've worked in banks, investment firms, and schools—often all three.
